Itinerary

Day 1 - Sembalun Village to Sembalun Crater Rim

Start your trek through the open savannahs of Sembalun, gradually ascending to the crater rim for your first night of camping under the stars.

Daily Schedule

07:00 AM - Registration and medical check at Sembalun

08:00 AM - Begin trekking through the savannah

12:00 PM - Lunch break at POS 2

05:00 PM - Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim, set up camp

06:30 PM - Dinner and rest

Note: The trail is mostly exposed to the sun. Drink plenty of water and use sun protection.

Day 2 - Summit Attack and Descent Lake

An early morning push to the summit for a breathtaking sunrise, followed by a descent to the beautiful Segara Anak crater lake.

Daily Schedule

02:00 AM - Wake up, light breakfast

02:30 AM - Begin summit attack

06:00 AM - Reach Rinjani Summit (3,726m) for sunrise

09:00 AM - Return to camp for second breakfast

10:00 AM - Descend to Segara Anak Crater Lake

02:00 PM - Arrive at lake, visit hot springs

05:00 PM - Camp overnight by the lake

Note: The summit push is extremely cold and windy. The terrain is loose volcanic scree.

Day 3 - Lake Leisure & Climb to Senaru Rim

Enjoy a relaxing morning by the lake and hot springs before ascending to the Senaru Crater Rim for your final night.

Daily Schedule

08:00 AM - Breakfast by the lake

09:00 AM - Free time at the hot springs

12:00 PM - Lunch at the lake camp

01:00 PM - Begin steep ascent to Senaru Crater Rim

04:00 PM - Arrive at Senaru Crater Rim, set up camp

06:30 PM - Dinner and sunset viewing

Note: The ascent to Senaru Rim is steep and rocky. Take your time and watch your step.

Day 4 - Rainforest Descent to Senaru Village

Descend through the lush tropical rainforests of Senaru, keeping an eye out for local wildlife before concluding your trek.

Daily Schedule

06:00 AM - Wake up for sunrise and breakfast

08:00 AM - Begin descent through the rainforest

11:30 AM - Lunch break at POS 1

02:00 PM - Arrive at Senaru Village, end of trek

03:00 PM - Transfer to your next destination

Note: The descent can be slippery, especially if it has rained. Trekking poles are highly recommended.
