Rinjani Trek Itinerary

🚐 Pick-up: From any location in Lombok (airport, harbor, or hotel)
🏑 Check-in: At a peaceful hotel or guesthouse in Sembalun village
🧭 Evening briefing: Meet your guide, check equipment, and get a detailed explanation of the route
🌌 Rest: Free time to explore the village or rest before the trek begins

  • Start the trek after breakfast and registration at the national park office in Sembalun (1,100m)

  • Hike through the open savannah landscape, passing Pos 1, 2, and 3, with breaks along the way

  • Lunch is served at a scenic rest area

  • Reach the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) in the late afternoon

  • Set up camp with amazing sunset views of the summit and crater lake

  • Dinner and overnight at the rim

Trekking duration: 6–7 hours

  • Wake up at 2:00 AM for a light breakfast

  • Begin the challenging climb to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m) in the dark

  • Arrive at the top for a spectacular sunrise, with views of Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa

  • Descend back to camp for a proper breakfast and short rest
